The Prince of Arabia and the Seychelles President experience true African entertainment…

Drums and Rhythm spent a week in the Seychelles performing for the Prince of Arabia and The President of the Seychelles. The Theme was “Africa”, so with a praise singer, interactive drumming , traditional dancers, West African drummers and dancers entertaining along with African foods, costumes for each guest to dress like an authentic African, celebrating in a kraal representing a typical African scene, which hosted over 100 guests from all over the world.

Drums and Rhythm pull off the best stadium event SA has ever seen...


After returning from an international event in Seychelles, Drums and Rhythm and producer, Eddie Bunting, was once again the heart and soul for South Africa at the closing ceremony of the Confederations Cup 2009. A whole nation opened their arms for our overseas guests and gave them a commemorative piece of Africa. In collaboration with Lebo M, African Choir, 150 drummers and cultural dancers, this was by far the most breath taking scene for our visitors and locals. As the stadium came to life, there was no doubt of the warmth of Africa’s Spirit. The closing ceremony was performed live to an audience of 65 000 people in the stadium.
Drums and Rhythm has been approached, and has been verbally confirmed, to produce and co ordinate the Opening Ceremony of the 2010 FIFA World Cup Soccer event to be held in SA next year.

Reaching Out to the Community

Drums and Rhythm has been involved with numerous charity events – because we believe in equality, synergy and upliftment. On the 4th of July 2009 Drums and Rhythm partnered with Reach for a Dream to change the little worlds of children who survived traumatic pasts. Nobody can exchange the priceless laughter of a child!

Double Beat Hop

A never seen before jaw dropping live drum ensemble consisting of kit drums, congas, surdos, Beat Boxer and percussion performed in a raw acoustic and unplugged performance with a cosmopolitan and diverse dance troupe, showcasing styles such as: Hip hop, break-dance/ B boy, contemporary and a fusion of Salsa and African dance.

Double Beat Hop was born when Phenix Dance Productions formed a calibration with Drums and Rhythm to produce a unique and international production; both these organizations have been around for more than a decade and are the leaders in their game.
