‘Drumming
was part of our daily lives before the flame was found. Hundreds of drumming
enthusiasts are taking the world by storm and they are not alone …Drums
and Rhythm is dedicated to spreading the benefits of our Interactive Events
as well as promoting the diversity and wealth of the South African culture.’

“If
you drum as a team … you work as a team”

Briefing:
-
A traditional drum will
be provided for each delegate(to use during the session only).We
will give you an introduction to drumming (within 10 minutes you will
be able to drum together!).
-
We will teach you the
very basics and two expert,authentic rhythms.
-
These rhythms will be
combined with other percussion instruments and a traditional song called
“Tongolo”.
-
This will be concluded
on a high note, where the delegates will put the whole program together,
playing the drum and/or other percussion instruments and singing!

Requirements
:
-
A chair has to be provided
for each delegate, arranged in a full circle (preferably) or 2 or 3 (max.)
half circles.
-
Hand jewellery to be removed
– rings, watches, bangles etc. might hurt you or be damaged when
hitting a hard surface continuously.
-
Ladies to wear pants (preferably)
or longer dresses.
-
A power point for groups
80 and more, for our PA system.
